The Serbisyong Smile endure to conquer even to the farthest corner of the town. A convoy consists of government employees headed by the Local Chief Executive, Vic Paul M. Salarda, MPA, made a journey to Salimama, a sitio located at Barangay Datal Anggas.
A cool ambiance welcomed the team. Smile and positivity occupied the surrounding, making an impression of a peaceful community. The Serbisyong Smile sa Barangay (SSB), is one of the many program initiated by the Salarda’s Administration that brought a great scale of benevolent impact to the people of Alabel.
Travelling in a hasty speed, the convoy arrived in the area at exactly 9:30 in the morning.
School teachers with their pupils blissfully graces the team. The smiling children of Salimama are symbol of hope. Witnessing this unparalleled joy, the Local Government Unit of Alabel headed by Mayor Vic Paul Salarda will continue its mission of providing services to its people, allowing to fulfill its mantra “No one is left behind”. The mayor gave school bags to the children, a touching moment to hear appreciative feedback from the innocent children of Salimama, “Daghang Salamat, Mayor”.
An unusual visitor joined the SSB at Salimama. He added joy to the day. It was an unrelenting and extraordinary day for the children of Salimama because the popular fast-food mascot celebrates with them. A matchless joy to the children’s faces was truly priceless. The elders of the place were grateful to Mayor Vic Paul for bringing Jollibee to Salimama.
Vested with one purpose, to bring free services to all, various departments of LGU Alabel and national line agencies participated the event. Municipal Health Office (MHO), headed by Dr. Donna Marie Labaniego and his team provided basic health services to the people of Salimama like free medical check-up, free laboratory, Tutok Buntis/Nutrisyon and SDI / Implanon Birth Control. Dr. Daisy Dionio, Municipal Dentist, also provided free extraction of teeth (Libreng Ibot sa Ngipon).
Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), headed by Lerma Wabinga, RSW, participated the Parent Mentoring, while Municipal Treasury Office (MTO) issued community tax (cedula) and Patik, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) distributed coffee tree seedlings and conduct IEC about 5K Convergence Program of Salarda’s Administration , and the Office of Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG) distributed fertilizers and coffee seedlings. MDRRMC gave Rescuers Refreshers Training and the Municipal Mayor’s Office (MMO) participated the SSB through releasing free medicines, Parent mentoring and Libreng Gupit.
National line Agencies such the Bureau of Fire (BFP-Alabel), Philippine National Police (PNP-Alabel) and Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) also rendered their services to the SSB. BFP conducted IEC for Fire Prevention and protection while PAO gave an IEC for VAWC.
The highlight of the event was the Kasalang Bayan. The Municipal Civil Registrar, Engr. Cesar Gingoyon was on field to facilitate the mass wedding of thirty-eight couples. MCR also provided free birth certificate registration.
The LCE, Mayor Vic Paul led the wedding ceremony, he gave inspiring taught and advice to the newly wed. The good mayor reminded them to always seek guidance from above, support their children’s education, and practice backyard and organic gardening.
SSB at Sitio Salimama, Datal Anggas was a successful occasion, a noteworthy event that marks the beginning 2019.
