Barangay  Alegria is  always  look  for  development  and  aims  to  move  forward and   engaging  the  community in  all  barangay programs.

Vision

Barangay  Alegria   by the  year  2020  is  well  developed ,progressive, healthy  and  well  informed  residents  who  are  God-fearing  under  good  governance  scheme  towards  peaceful  self-reliance and  self-sufficient  community.

History

Alegria was founded   by a Christian Pioneering named Casiano Letigio from Alegria, Cebu in 1949. They derived from Cebuano word “alegre” w/c means joy/happiness because of the different birds species all over the place. Some of it was migratory.

The Christian Pioneers were Casiano Letigio, Lazaro Sabellano, Anastacio  Hayumpa, Marcelino Medina, Pedro Nacrea, and Bonifacio  Jamio. The Blaan pioneers were Pandian Walok, Pandaman  Kingkong,  Balatok  Kayuna,   Panganan  ,Datu  Lawa, Gulada   Mangcal.  The  Kalagan Pioneers were Yuba, Masayao, and Salimama.
